Frequently asked questions
What counts as an event?
An event is a single call to the ingest API (POST /ingest/{org_id}). Each event can be delivered to multiple endpoints — that's not counted separately. A batch of 10 events counts as 10 events.
What happens when I hit the event limit?
We'll send you an email warning at 80% and 100% of your monthly limit. Ingestion continues for 24 hours over the limit before we pause delivery. You can upgrade at any time to avoid interruption.
What is the retry policy?
HookSync retries failed deliveries up to 5 times with exponential backoff: 1 min, 5 min, 30 min, 2 hours, 8 hours. After the 5th failure the delivery is marked abandoned. You can manually retry from the dashboard.
What is the consumer portal?
A white-label UI you can embed in your product (via iframe or redirect) so your customers can add/remove their own webhook endpoints without contacting you. Available on Starter and Pro.
Do you offer self-hosted deployment?

How does billing work?
Billing is monthly, charged at the start of each period. Stripe is used for all payments. You can cancel or downgrade at any time — your plan remains active until the end of the current period.
